Lighthouses. We all have such a fascination with these beautiful creations - built for practicality but have ended up becoming tourist attractions. This one in particular is dubbed 'the white queen' and has had her time in the spotlight when it was the location for the old TV show Round the Twist and Masterchef.
She is lovely and grand with fantastic white and red colouring and yes, of course Mamma wants to live in it! The best I can do though is a tour - tours run every day at 11, 12 , 1 and 2 pm and will take about 45 mins.
We didn't go up there with Mr 5 and Miss 7, maybe when they are older and their legs can walk more than 10 steps uphill! The surrounding tracks and views are breathtaking and worth a wander.

Mamma's special mentions: The beach is at the bottom of the hill for a splash on hot days, then head to Aireys Pub for some great pub tucker. There is also Willows Tea House just down the road for some scones and coffees.
