Say Cheese is Footscray’s newest deli cafe specialising in subs and sangas. The Westie locals behind it have set up shop in a storefront inside Trocadero Arcade. Seek and ye shall find - and what a find! This is a great spot if you are hungry and happen to not have a hankering for bánh mì or phở. Here you’ll find a selection of top quality cured meats and vegan meat, cheeses, salads and sauces jammed between delicious sourdough rolls, made fresh to order.
With a really cool industrial vibe, Fallen Freight is open 7 days a week serving a range of amazing coffee and a deli menu. Our little one was obsessed with her chocolate milkshake, and Mamma really enjoyed her double bacon and egg bagel!
Dragon Hot Pot is unlike any hot pot Mamma has been before. Here, you pick a pot (as many pots as you want, actually) and then select your ingredients with the tongs provided. Choose your noodles, proteins and veggies. Take it to the counter and you select a broth then pay by weight and they bring it to your table. So easy!
Slurping soupy noodles at this sweet little ramen joint is just the ticket, let Mamma tell you. Scrumptious and delicious!

Every suburb deserves a Korean BBQ joint, and now Sunshine finally has one. As with all Korean BBQ, sets are the way to go and at Chingu there are 2 people and 4 people sets. Choose from wagyu, beef, pork or mixed sets and order sides like kimchi soup, cheesy corn, dumplings and bibimbap. Of course, pickles and dips are on tap. Yum!
Desserts, sandwiches and coffee - say no more! Baby J’s started its humble beginnings as a pop up in 2018 in Hoppers, then upgraded to a food van and NOW a permanent shop in the heart of Werribee under the Holiday Inn!
This is a stunning fit out, clean and pretty and the FroYo is amazing. It is made in store as well as most of the toppings including the free branded wafer. The freshly made yogurt flavours are top tier - think New York Cheesecake, Salted Caramel and of course faves like strawberry and chocolate. The topping selection is VAST and you can dabble in healthy goodness or go straight to the sweetest lollies.
Souvlaki, gyro and cafe - welcome to Glengala Road, Cyprus Time! Mamma and the kids visited this NEW Hellenic eatery among the strip of shops in Sunshine West and it’s already proving quite popular! They say to follow the scent of the charcoal because they only roast their meats on coal, giving it that authentic bbq flavour. And it smells great!
Mamma loves seeing sandwiches having their day in the sun. And it seems they just keep getting better! Tuckers in Werribee opened a few months ago and boy, do they have mouthwatering options to try.
