ground up - building big ideas, together, scienceworks

Ground Up: Building Big Ideas, Together - is made just for kids from babies to five year olds in mind - Mamma says it is fun for the whole family!

There are lots of different areas to check out here including a big brick building zone, illuminated building tables, a flying construction area,

There are no instructions to follow for any of the the play areas so you could end up constructing a whole city, a set of brick stairs, a levitating machine, designing a network of magnetic cogs or write your name in led light switches! The play ideas and inspiration really is endless.

The exhibition is divided into three broad age activity zones.
- The Baby Landscape (for babies) where there is lots of little floor height things to crawl on, spin and touch.
The Tinkering Zone where you can build an array of little foam velcro flying objects or check out some cog action.
The Collaborative Zone where building using foam bricks is the perfect project to work on with your friends.

The whole space is for everyone though - in fact there isn't a sign saying which bit is for who - so maybe see if the kids can work it out!

The colours are vibrant and there are little cosy seats around the place for parents to watch the play or of course you can always join in the fun! We love it!
