patchwork park playground, altona north
/This fantastic park is a wonderful design - Mamma hasn’t seen a playground like this before!
A giant network of spheres with climbing nets between float above hilly soft fall flooring. As you get closer, you’ll notice one baby slide and a big massive twisty slide shoots out from the highest red sphere. There’s plenty of room for explorative play in this dynamic space!
Through the spheres, the line of swings are fantastic - the ‘big kid’ swings are close to the floor so even little Miss 3 could swing herself by just pushing her feet off the ground - amazing!
Keep your ear out for sounds - music play is integrated throughout the sculptural playground, with bells that can be sounded by foot pedals and organ pipes underneath the spheres. Rock climbing stations along the soft fall in steep parts is a great addition for toddlers to learn how to use them without much risk!
If your fam loves ball games, a large grassy area allow for a kick and there’s a good amount of seating and 2 separate undercover BBQ areas with picnic tables. A wonderful play space!
