What would you say if Mamma told you there was a cafe with great food, outdoor seating, a playground right next door, an amazing beach over the road and a river full of ducks and their ducklings a few metres away? You'd say - "point me in that direction Mamma!" Well that direction is along The Great Ocean Road past Lorne to the divine hamlet of Wye River. A Mamma favourite for many years. The cafe opened about 10 years ago now converted from an old general store - they have updated and kept the store as well and filled it with some fresh produce, fancy food and necessities. If you're holidaying nearby, driving through or just feel like a wee drive down the spectacular coastline then popping in here is a must to stock up the stores and fill up the bellies.

Mamma's special mention: The BIG 4 is right next door and a favourite place to stay with the kiddies while they are young - oh and pop in to the Wye Beach Hotel for a beer and a peek at THAT view!
