daylesford hotel, daylesford

The Daylesford Hotel, located in the heart of Daylesford recently had a revamp and oh wow it’s gorgeous. The guys from local institutions Cliffy’s and Beppe have created something very special here.

The space is so lovely. Still with an old style appeal, but beautifully appointed, and still so friendly and welcoming - just like Daylesford itself.

Mamma and co ate in the public bar where you don’t need to book and is more relaxed than the bistro, but when it comes to a public bar, this is a notch above. With lovely tables by the stained glass windows, a fire place with leather armchairs, plus spaces near the original bar where you can grab a bite or just a drink.

The food was incredible - still with pub classics like a parma and fish n chips, but also duck pie, rabbit bisteeya and oysters. Mamma had the steak frites which was delicious, and they serve up amazing crispy crust pizzas from the wood fired oven AND there is a kids menu of course.

You can also sit out the front under the verandah, and soon they will open the upper balcony and rooms to stay in. Just another reason to visit this beautiful part of Victoria.
