wombat hill bakehouse and botanic gardens, daylesford

Mamma adores garden adventures and this is a magical wonderland on top of Wombat Hill, an ancient volcano, which is perfection. With rolling green hills made for a play and tumble - and natural cubby houses made by the draping lush greenery. Climb to the top and be rewarded with colourful begonias and breathtaking views of Dayelsford.

After you’ve spent some time exploring the enchanting Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, Mamma says take a well deserved coffee break at Wombat Hill House.

You might mistake Wombat Hill House for an actual home, but don’t be fooled - this is the cutest little bakehouse and cafe nestled right at the heart of the Botanical Gardens.

Serving breakfast until 11:30am with delicious egg and bacon rolls or their famous French toast on the menu. Lunch options are yummy pizzas made from their own sourdough plus classics like fish and chips and a range of toasties. Mamma says, grab yourself a coffee or the Wombat cocktails look amazing!

This sanctuary is the ideal place for a pit stop after a busy morning exploring Daylesford!
